Staplines

Many of our clients opt to include a strapline in their logo design. A strapline, or slogan, appears with the logo and is considered throughout the design process.

Krysalis have a strapline ‘Occupational Therapy Consultancy & Rehabilitation Service’. This gives the logo an added strength, it is a statement that explains their business.

Theatre Bugs ‘Confidence Through Creativity’. This playful logo is great, appealing to kids and adults with a strapline that clarify’s the business aims.

DAVE ‘Designed Audio Visual Environments’. Even though there is a clue in the visual elements of this logo, the strapline is essential to explain the business.

Flamingo Color’s strapline ‘Offset & Stationery Trade Limited Company’. The strapline here is simply stating the core business.

Sometimes the logo name says it all, but in all these logos, the names does not explain the business so a strapline becomes important.

Straplines should be short and to the point, a play on words or amusing if possible. Memorable straplines are icing on the cake. If you can find a strapline that people love, you are on to a winner.

Beware the strapline being completely lost when your logo is small. Better to have two versions of your logo, one with and one without.

If you can’t find the strapline that suits your business, leave it for now. It can be added at a later date, when your enterprise takes shape.
