Coreldraw or Adobe Illustrator?

  |   Logo Design   |   No comment

Logo designers generally use vector graphic software, the question is – Coreldraw or Adobe Illustrator.

Logo creators at LogoPro have been using CorelDraw for years. It is a fantastic programme for vector based logo design. We upgrade to the newest edition as a matter of course and always enjoy the new facilities that have been developed. In CorelDraw X3, the ability to crop an image was very useful, when they work out how to do it while keeping other images on the page it will be even better. The paragraph and character formatting dockers are great. Also you can fit text to any path and using a dynamic preview, you can adjust the text’s position really easily.

All great but how does it compare to Adobe Illustrator. We know that nearly all the jobs advertised in the design industry call for experience in Illustrator. There must be a good reason for this, we would like to know what other designers think, graphic designers who have used both extensively.
